Welcome to my portion of the festivities which was inspired by a beautiful hand-crafted card.
The best part is that the artist Elena lives only two minutes away, we actually got to meet and brainstorm together. You can visit her blog to see all her adorable paper crafts & handmade party decorations : http://justmeprints.blogspot.ca/2012/10/papertrey-ink-october-blog-hop.html
I not only wanted to design a cookie but also a hostess gift to bring when you go "home for the holidays". Below are some photos of the unpackaged cookies, I was trying to replicate a quiet street during the holidays. Be sure to watch the end on the video where I share how to keep the cookies in place when filling the jar. After watching my video don't forget to scroll all the way down where you will find the links to the virtual cookie party.
Here is the complete video tutorial:

DeleteEvery time I think I've seen it all, you take my breath away! Marlyn, you really took it to the next level with these. They are like looking into a Norman Rockwell painting. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind Callye, I was actually more impressed with the packing trick I came up with did you see it with the cello paper.
DeleteWhat a great video! I love how you solved the dilemma with the roof and was fascinated watching you mark the house with an edible marker and them *paint* out the lines with the vodka. Elena's card is so lovely and I am loving your rendition of it along with the snowflakes, snowmen and trees. Packing them all up in the pretty jar (great packing tip by the way) is a gift that anyone who be thrilled to have. Paula @VanillaBeanBake
