Trying to find my groove...

As some of you may already know, I recently moved. If you missed it, I posted this video sneak peek into my new working space. Since then I have been trying to figure out what my first project should be after this time off. To relieve some personal stress, I am going to keep it simple with a cookie tutorial.

The inspiration behind today's design happened after a long day of house painting.  I was enjoying a glass of wine and glanced at the label… it was love at first sight.

The wine is called American Dream and the label has a beautiful mandala design on it which I thought would make an awesome cookie. Here is a closeup of the finished cookies.

I rummaged through my cutter collection and decided on a shape that many of you may already own, a daisy cutter. I traced out the cutter and altered the mandala to fit onto the outline. Here is the template should you want to make these yourself.

Last but not least, here is the video tutorial, if you like it please share it with your friends.

If you prefer to not use alcohol you will find this post by Sweets Ambs very useful, she compares different possible options to paint with.

Thanks for stopping by, Marlyn

Baptism dress - decorated sugar cookie

This pretty dress cookie can be made fairly quickly all depending on how many extra ruffles you add, I think it would be equally pretty with only the collar & swirly belt as extra detail.

Here is the video tutorial
